This is what Stephanie has to say about her process and how she came into making bows.

Hi, I'm Stephanie, and welcome to Bonita Bellita! I'm so excited that you want to win this pretty flower, I wish you all the best of luck!

Since I was a little girl, I have always loved beauty. I saw it in nature, books, everywhere! I also paint and draw, so I would try to capture what I saw in what my own two hands could reproduce. Recently in life, I traded in my pencils and brushes for fabrics and buttons. Suddenly there is a whole garden of flower clips and headbands in my home!

I don't have a calculated process in how I create these blossoms, instead I take some time to be inspired. At the moment my favorite inspirations can be found in chai tea, piano music, Jane Austin's works, and old photos. Once I feel those creative juices flowing, I get to work! I like to make sure I have a variety of colors and fabrics on hand to work so I don't feel confined to just one style.

So far, organza and pearls are my favorite to work with. There is just something that feels so romantic about both, an elegant feel to the touch and to the eyes. I try to keep all the flowers I make just a little bit romantic, but still have a bold feel to them, like a bright teal or yellow with bees.
